I am not a fan of summer. The triple-digit heat and my personal R30 insulation are a prime example of why. This latest heat wave has been brutal. The older I get the more it bothers me.

Ride it out by drinking lots of water and staying as cool as possible.

Nevertheless, I do love fireworks! I can see both the city fireworks show and the ones at the fairgrounds from my front yard.

This city’s show was made possible in part by a $20,000 grant from Sunset Waste Systems, the local refuse pickup service. At last month’s chamber Business Extravaganza, I put a thank you for the donation message in the box at its booth.
