Leadership, Link Crew readies passport

Madera South High School Leadership and Associate Student Body are now able to take a few deep breaths after a successful Homecoming week. But not for long, because Freshman Passport to Success is around the corner.

Our stallions are fired up after yesterday’s Champions for Today Assembly featuring former professional basketball player Tanya Crevier and her nephew Caleb, whose family of 11 was featured on TV show “America’s Got Talent.”

Our Freshman Passport to Success is an activity that Leadership and Link Crew put together for the freshmen. All freshmen receive a passport full of vital information from graduation requirements, how to get into college, test taking tips, list of clubs and so much more. The freshmen go to four different rotations where they hear from administrators, counselors and more importantly students themselves offering words of wisdom.

Leadership presents a skit about living through high school and dealing with issues such as peer pressure and bullying. We also do a fun interactive game with freshmen to separate yourself from negative people. Link Crew hosts a fashion show of what to and not to wear...
