I think I gave up too soon.
After being forced to take three weeks off from my marathon training due to an injury, I assumed I had to sit out of the 26.2-mile race. My team and my coach told me I should run the half marathon instead because I had taken too much time off to safely do the full.
My parents said the same. So did my husband.
I even told myself it would be stupid to try to run the full marathon after missing three essential weeks of training...
