Old news by now, but for those of you, and there are many, who enjoy the wonderful meals prepared by Gabriella at Madera Valley Inn enjoy them while you can. The new owners will be kicking her out by the end of the year.

Credible sources say her terrific prime rib specials on Friday nights, the delicious raviolis that were also served at the venerable Lucca’s, and many other scrumptious menu items will be replaced by Chinese cuisine. Personally, I enjoyed the occasional breakfast, jawing away with the regular patrons and old timers at Gabriella’s. Egg rolls and chow mein for breakfast anyone?

Art hoppin’. Tomorrow and Sunday the city will be full of art with displays by local artists at nine different locations. This is a great chance to get some holiday shopping done and get a really special gift for someone just as special.

You can also enjoy some great food as you visit the “art spots” with displays at the Vineyard, Edgar’s Italian Restaurant and Maya Grill. Call my editor’s gal, Annette at 664-1142 or the Circle Gallery at 661-7005 for more locations and info...
