Child killers. After 25 years of extraordinary effort by Rotarians around the world, including Madera’s, the dreaded child crippler and life-taker, polio, is on the verge of eradication. It was until now.

The Taliban, in its secluded hideouts in Pakistan, has decided to ban polio vaccines until we stop our hunt for them and their leaders with the use of drone aircraft. Gee, sacrificing your own children for your cause. What’s next, using innocents for human shields?

“What’s up doc.” Sorry, a light just came on and reminded me these cat box liners are supposed to be what years ago I deemed fun Fridays. Well, not always so, but give me a minute... Okay, I’m back. Did you know that the cartoon channel shows the old, original, (and the best) Warner Brothers cartoons?

The Looney Toons show (I bet cartoon aficionado Debbie Samora knows this) is on Monday through Friday starting at 1 p.m. I tape it (actually TiVo nowadays) and when yours truly gets a little down I just turn it on to Bugs, Daffy, Porky, Sylvester and even Tweety...
