Madera FFA’s nine officers hosted the first meeting of the year with a Welcome Back BBQ on Aug. 23. The purpose of the meeting was to welcome new FFA members into the organization and provide them with information on how to get involved.
This meeting was attended by 185 FFA members, as well as numerous parents and guests. The members had the opportunity to eat a hot dog meal after the business portion of the meeting. After the meeting, members and parents got to tour the 20-acre on-campus school farm to learn about the opportunities they have this year.
“I was very proud of my group’s enthusiasm to enter the exciting world of FFA,” said Madera FFA secretary Sukhvir Singh.
All the officers are happy with the meeting’s outcome and look forward to an exciting and enthusiastic school year.
