Have you enjoyed your summer, to date? Have you taken time to lean, loafe, and watch the grass grow?
Many of us tend to stay busy. Statistically, Americans are said to take far less leisure time than our counterparts around the globe. Even when we’re not working, our spare time is spent doing what needs doing around the home, hitting the trails to hike and camp (or the beach to sink or swim), or heading to the city for a night of theatre or a list of provisions to secure for the week or month.
The good Lord gave us the Sabbath, and yet so often we just don’t know what to do with it. Time’s a wasting, we think, and so we pack what we can into those days or hours, and if we’re not actively doing something, we spend our time worrying and fretting about things over which we have so little control...
