While sitting on my patio enjoying the ways of nature, I was led to concentrate on something I had not noticed before. I don’t know if it has to do with the time of year or if it is something that happens at all times, but I had never noticed it before.

The sun was at the right angle reflecting the long strings of spider webs waving in the breeze. They were attached to my fence, to my picnic table and several bushes. They were moving in the breeze like long tentacles reaching out for something to grab onto.

As I watched I noticed they were grabbing the limbs of the trees that were low to the ground and that formed a bridge for the spiders to start building a larger web. I noticed several insects flying in the backyard just before the sun went down and that is what attracted the bats earlier in the year...
