The answer is no! The 4-H year starts on July 1 and ends June 30. We are busy getting ready for our next fair, which is the Madera fair in September.

If we are raising animals such as pigs, lambs, rabbits, turkeys, chickens, goats, or beef, we are making sure that our animals are growing and being fed well. If we are going to enter arts and crafts, then we are busy sewing, painting, taking pictures or creating something great to bring to the Madera fair. Or maybe we are planning what to cook, raising plants or growing vegetables. There are so many things that we can be doing for the fair.

We also just finished our record books for the last 4-H year and entered them to compete at the county level. When we enter our record books, we pick which project we would like to be judged in.

Each project report includes what we did for the year, what we learned, and keeps track of how much it cost and how much we made in the project. Some officers also have books to enter for what they did during the year. County winner is the best score followed by first, second and third place...
