A Day Without Shoes is sponsored by the TOM’S organization to show awareness for the many children and parents who don’t have basic essentials such as shoes. Madera High participated in this event on Tuesday during their lunch time.
Madera High will also be collecting gently-used shoes to send to people in need. The school asks for your help to bring any shoes you don’t use or need to its front office. The shoe drive will end May 3.
So bring any shoes, any size, to the front office on those days from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Together we can make a difference and possibly give a child in need their first pair of shoes.
