California Scholarship Federation is a distinct group of students who excel academically. CSF applications are due today in the activities office. Students must have their transcript, the completed application, and a fee of $5 to be part of CSF.

Life members will receive a gold stamp on their diploma, gold sash to wear at graduation, and they get to sit in the front row at the graduation ceremony. To be a life member, one must be an active member for a minimum of four semesters through his or her sophomore through senior year. Keep in mind that you have to reapply every semester in order to remain an active member.

Homecoming king and queen

Voting will take place Friday during intervention and lunch for the Homecoming king and queen court. The nominees were selected by clubs and classes at Madera High.

The Homecoming court will be announced at the annual kickoff event, the blacklight rally and dance, which will be held Monday in the Flores gym from 6:30 to 9 p.m. MHS students can purchase their tickets in advance from any Associated Student Body member. Don’t forget your ID card to get in the door...
