This week I must confess I have no new couponing information to relay, but I’ll use this opportunity to suggest something that might make life easier for the couponing community in Madera — a coupon exchange bucket.

In the days when my husband was an active duty Marine, I wasn’t much into couponing but I still rifled through the stash of coupons near the front door of every commissary before I shopped.

The coupon exchange bucket is just that — a bucket full of coupons that someone didn’t want but someone else might need.

Shoppers would clip coupons, use some of them, and then drop their unused and unwanted coupons in the bucket on the way out of the store. Those entering the store could look through the coupons and take any that they might use...
