Maybe it’s too hot for it, but it will eventually rain. A couple weeks ago I attempted to warn readers of the closure of Fourth Street slated, as the official road signs read, July 30.
That day came and the signs were changed to read Aug. 6. Cruising down the eventual thoroughfare that same day I espied the sign had once again been changed and the date moved forward to Closed, Aug. 13. Like I said, “eventually.”

Traveling on smoother roads, and the road along a happy marriage, a welcome home to teammate, classmate and lifelong friend Don McKinney and his lovely bride, Cheryl, from a celebratory anniversary trip to Lake Tahoe. It is there, above the “clear blue waters” (wait, that’s a beer ad), OK, the pristine, cesious liquid of tranquility where they were married.
And a big thanks for the VHS tape of our 25th class reunion. Though we can’t kick up our heels on the dance floor any longer like we saw on the tape, my gal and I got a kick out of watching it...
