By Cristal Rivera, a senior at Madera South High School

Madera South High School students were treated to an optional assembly with NFL record holder Clarence Lee. He attended Florida State University, where he played college football and double majored in math. He presented a life message to our students and also demonstrated various skills to show his strength. He held the NFL record for bench presses and squats of over 600 pounds. Our students were impressed and inspired at the same time.

SkoolLive presents Uncharted Shores

Tomorrow, Madera South High will play host to a new and upcoming band called Uncharted Shores. They are sponsored by a company called SkoolLive, which promotes new bands all around high schools. They will bring various bands to Madera South High as well as free promo items and food to our students.

Sadie Hawkins Dance

Madera South's Sadie Hawkins dance will be Oct. 13 at Blackbeard's in Fresno, from 7 to 11 p.m. This year's theme is "Double Vision," which is basically dressing up as twins. Tickets are on sale now, and will be until Oct. 11. Tickets may be purchased from our bookkeeper. The tickets cost $50 a couple or $30 for an individual. If any student has an ASB sticker then he or she gets $10 off.

Students who are allowed to go cannot be on the L.O.P. list in school. Those eligible to go can have up to three unexcused absences, but those with more than that cannot purchase a ticket...
