The NFL draft has come and gone. And yes, I watched every minute. With a few well-deserved naps worked in.

Granted, after the first few rounds, my interest waned a bit. Players who would make a big impact on their respective teams were already taken. During Saturday’s final rounds, I nodded off a few times — okay, for most of the afternoon if you must know — but thankfully when I was awake I didn’t have to watch commissioner Roger Goodell oddly hug the players.

Showing some love is fine. But not being able to see any daylight between him and the players was just plain uncomfortable.

While I loved watching the first round on Thursday, Goodell’s seeming man crush on every player who walked to the podium was way over the top. He hugged too much. And he lingered like a school girl after her first kiss. Then he had to clutch each player close and whisper in his ear. It was a bit disturbing...
