Canned food drive do-over nets 300 items

Due to the feelings of insufficient support for the canned food drive, Liberty High School Leadership went straight to the community over Christmas break to collect more cans to fulfill duties for the needy.

ASB Vice President Tony Hall and sophomore Zachary Nesgis took the reins to promote the post-canned food drive cause by placing bags on the doorsteps of several houses. By doing so, community members were given the opportunity to provide necessities to the less fortunate and support the canned-food drive of Liberty High School.

Community members were asked to fill the bags with canned goods and place it near their mailboxes for leadership students to receive. Leadership collected more than 300 items of imperishable goods that were added to the regular canned food drive collection.
