Busy month of 4-H activities

Howard 4-Hers have been extra busy this month practicing, studying, and preparing for County Presentation Day and Livestock Expo. On March 2, Howard 4-Hers participated at Small Animal Expo where they had to show their knowledge of feeds, breeds, and equipment and skill of showmanship to pass different levels of expertise.

The community pride group enjoyed selling Kids Day papers early in the morning on March 5. The members sold 150 papers and collected $415 for Children’s Hospital Central California!

The Howard 4-H monthly meeting was held March 4 and was called to order by club president Lauren Garrison. George Browning, chairman for Family Game Night, gave details on the turnout and happenings of the event. Members and guests attended and enjoyed playing a variety of games.

Chairman Lauren Garrison and Sarah Kyllo reported on the amount of donations the club received to support the Ronald McDonald House. They collected a grand total of 170 items, which included cleaning supplies, food items, household items, and office supplies. The club also purchased a vacuum cleaner...
