The NCAA needs to come up with a much better plan if it ever expects the women’s basketball tournament to become more than just a meaningless waste of time.
While here in the Valley we can take pride in the fact that the Fresno State women’s team again made it to the tournament and as the No. 12 seed nearly knocked off No. 5 Georgetown, after that game, the screens go black.
The problem lies in the fact that as consumers of sports, we only have so much time to invest in watching. And we want to watch the best.
And by and large, we are men. We can’t help it, we were born that way...
