The things in life one experiences, at this time on this planet, lead one to wonder how we got here and where we go from here. Rev. Joanna and I had a discussion a few days ago about the decisions we made on life-changing situations before we met. We both had different lives until we met in 1986. She had reared a family and had to make some major decisions to keep her life flowing for the best and highest good. Her children were on their own journey of life and were able to make their own decisions as to what direction they wanted their life to go.

I had worked back East in the construction industry as a mechanic on heavy construction equipment. It was a job I loved and I made a very good living. I had built a new home on 10 acres of land and added the other buildings on the land to make it an ideal place for a person to enjoy a life of doing what they wanted to do.

Then in 1978, the weather during the winter sent me a message it was time to make some decisions as to what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. The blizzard during the winter of 1978 and l979 was the trigger that led to the decision to move to California. Several of my friends told me I was a making a mistake giving up all I had worked for and making a move to not knowing what I was going to do once I got to California.
