Watching some football on Sunday I noticed, as the season progresses, several pro football teams during the season wear their “throwback” uniforms from as early as the 1930s. With the Pittsburgh Steelers’ horizontal striped jerseys it looked like a jailbreak from Attica or Alcatraz.

My longtime friend and one-time, maybe a few times, teammate, in ball playing, Ken Evans, agreed that if two teams wore the complete throwback uniforms, including the old leather helmets, there would be a lot fewer helmet-to-helmet-caused concussions.

She didn’t enter the competition, but this just in from our favorite call girl, Sally Sugarbush currently in Rio. Just when you thought there were too many award and contest shows and events, along come the crazy Brazilians with their 2013 edition of the Miss Bum Bum competition. Simply put, it is a contest to judge which woman has the most delightful derriere.

The winner, 25-year-old Dai Macedo, admitted, “It isn’t 100 percent natural. I had a large backside, but liposuction improved it.” The contestants all wore bikinis, but after all, it is summer down in Rio...
