Votes for the 2012 MLB All-Star game are in, and as usual, ridiculous selections mark the day.
I get fan voting, I do. It is meant to create interest in the game by allowing fan favorites to be viewed on baseball’s purported grandest stage — The Midsummer Classic.
Sounds great doesn’t it? A classic. That being the case, fans are in for quite a game pitting the two leagues and the absolute best players against each other.
And the game also has tremendous meaning as the winning team will receive home field advantage in the World Series...
