4-H members cook their favorite foods

This year’s 4-H Favorite Foods Day was held Saturday at Minarets High School. The turn-out of 4-Hers was terrific and everyone was excited about their dishes.

Favorite Foods Day is an annual 4-H event that gives 4-Hers the opportunity to show off their skills in cooking, baking, judging, and beautiful place settings. There are more than 14 different categories such as: main dishes, appetizers, salads, candies, made-from-mix, place settings, and decorated foods. Coarsegold 4-H did extremely well this year with eight participants.

Here are the names of our fabulous chefs and what they won:

Jessica Wade: Made From Mix — cupcakes (1st) and Main Dish — hambone soup (2nd)...
