I just couldn’t resist mentioning the Madera District Fair once again, coming up on Sept. 10 through 13. One of the entry classes in the cakes division is for Bundt cakes.
The Madera District Fair will be held Sept. 10 through 13. There will be some special food contests, including the new locally grown pies and tamales contests, plus the ever-popular salsa contest.
It’s never going to be a major holiday, but today is National Iced Tea Day. People everywhere seem to enjoy a glass of iced tea during the summer days. I do too, as long as it is decaf.
Father’s Day is coming up on June 21, and many of us will prepare a special meal to help celebrate the occasion.
