Here we are, another Friday the 13th. I have written about it to death so I won’t bore you with any bad luck trivia about walking under ladders, dodging black cats, or stepping on a crack.

First, this grateful scribe would like to thank all of you that expressed concern and offered prayers about my gal after being hospitalized at St. Agnes most of last week.
There has been many a Maderan to “walk with a dog” along the trails of Lions Town and Country Park, but tomorrow you get a chance to “Walk with a Doc.”
That would be football season. It extended into February this time, but the final game was pretty exciting.

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Cardy “Mr. Little League” Farias at the age of 89. In my youth as a player on my dad’s sponsored Calair Dusters team, Cardy helped me through some tough times.
