We, the members of the Chowchilla Tribe of Yokuts have the rightful claim to the ancestral land on which the North Fork Rancheria plans to build a casino near Highway 99.
I feel compelled to correct inaccurate statements published in the March 23rd article regarding prospective district attorney candidate David Linn.

Thirty years ago, I started teaching in Madera Unified, a school district that was known as a great place to teach. I have enjoyed the years, although as with any job there have been ups and downs.
In all the experiences of life, there does not seem to be anything that makes a person feel more alive and complete than giving, be it giving of time, emotional support or possessions.
I would like to set the record straight on David Linn’s statement (Madera Tribune, Saturday, March 23) that the Board of Supervisors, judges and law enforcement support him.
