We can no longer waste our precious fresh water.
This November a number of elective offices and issues will be on the ballot. One vitally important elective office for the Madera Area is the Madera Irrigation District Board Position No. 1.
One of the purposes of education is to prepare citizens to participate in democracy. On Nov. 4, the citizens of Madera have an opportunity to let their voices be heard.
I read Angela Hill’s letter in the Fresno newspaper about the Madera County district attorney’s race. It was extremely accurate, and I believe it deserves a follow up in The Madera Tribune.
Jay Varney, police chief and acting city administrator of Chowchilla, is running for sheriff of Madera County, and I am supporting Chief Varney in this pursuit.
