I thought your writer Leon Mo’s Meanderings Nov. 29 was inspired, as he usually is when he writes about the desert. I have collected almost all of his Meanderings, and this one was one of his best.
As most who know me are aware, I have little confidence in government and its leaders. With this vote for water meters by our county supervisors, I have lost all confidence in every one of them.
In 1963, I remember watching a protest in Birmingham, Ala., over the segregation of schools and other issues. The marchers were dispersed with water from high-pressured fire hoses.
