Our History

Founded March 21, 1885, The Madera Tribune has long served the city and county of Madera, and for most of its history has been an independent and locally owned voice of the San Joaquin Valley.

Vintage issues archive

Some older editions of The Madera Tribune and its former publishing rivals can be found online thanks to the California Digital Newspaper Collection. These newspapers, along with the weekly Madera County Times, eventually merged with The Madera Tribune.

The Tribune is published Wednesday and Saturday by Madera Printing and Publishing Company on 30 percent recycled newsprint. Served by the Associated Press, it belongs to the California Newspaper Publishers Association.
